Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobli are probably healthy, but Greg Popovich is refusing to play them. Why? So they have some legs for the playoffs. So the Spurs have a shot of going deeper than the first or second round.
Doc Rivers should do the same with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett tonight. Pierce played fifty-four minutes last night. KG forty-seven. Give me one good reason for playing them. There are absolutely none. The Celtics haven't lost in two weeks. They play one of the worst teams in the NBA tonight on the second night of a back-to-back. Why waste the remaining 2/3 of Big Three's legs on the Bobcats? In order for this team to win anything more than a playoff series, they are going to have to win games without KG and Paul carrying the load. What better way to practice?
