Let's see, I've called out the lurkers, encouraged you to join the forums, told you about the FanShots, and basically pestered you about becoming more active on the blog in general. What's left? How about FanPosts? It is FanPost Friday after all.
Just for clarification purposes: FanShots are quick hit links or quotes or pictures or whatever. FanPosts are articles - typically at least a couple paragraphs long - just like the ones that our staff writes.
We've got a wonderful staff of writers here on the blog and they do a great job providing you with fresh content every day. But we love hearing other people's voices and we strongly encourage you to give this whole blogging thing a whirl yourself. Sure, you could go to blogger.com or wordpress and start your own blog and twist people's arms to get them to go visit it, ...once. Or you could get your feet wet on an established blog like this one, where you can get feedback and interactions immediately.
Some of the best posts will also find their way onto the front page of this blog. As a bonus, on FanPost Friday, I promote all the good-to-great posts as part of the FanPost Friday group.
So to sum up, stop lurking, start commenting, start forum-ing, start FanShot-ing, and when you've gotten all that checked off, get in there and start blogging via FanPosts. You'll thank me later.
Update: Another request. When you read FanPosts and FanShots that you like, please Rec them, so that the good ones are easier to spot and highlight. Thanks.
