Williams has played with three NBA teams and most recently China, considered a head case in past but has talent #celtics

In the past, I've been pretty confident with the Celtics taking on players with character issues, especially on a short term basis. Guys like Stephon Marbury, Von Wafer, and Nate Robinson come to mind. They all found differing levels of success with the team, but more importantly, never were a distraction.
Williams had been playing very well for Guangdong Southern before leaving the team due to a death in his family. He was averaging almost 18-3-4 for the first place Tigers before leaving. TWill has good size at 6'6 with great athleticism and should be able to play as a big guard and a small forward. With the Celtics no longer looking to fill a specific position, he's the kind of all-around player that Doc should be able to plug in right away. He's got a handle and the tools to play Celtic defense.
UPDATE:
NBA source adds Williams to #celtics is nearly done. He is waiting for clearance letter from Chinese team and headed to Denver to join team

Looks like Williams could be in uniform as early as tomorrow night against the Nuggets.
UPDATE 2: ("done deal")
