Details coming. It was widely believed that the trade would include Fab Melo, but now, it's more likely Leandro Barbosa's expiring contract.
In his brief NBA career, Crawford's biggest claim to fame is his dunk on LeBron James when Crawford was at Xavier.
UPDATE: Woj confirmed.

By only giving up Barbosa, the Celtics preserve their roster flexibility so they can still add buy out candidates and free agents. Also, remember that Ainge still has plans to bring back Barbosa next season. I'm guessing that the Celtics will pay Washington for his rehab and surgery next month. After this season, Crawford still has another year on his contract and then a summer of restricted free agency if Boston decides to extend a qualifying offer. It's a small risk, big reward move for the Celtics who desperately needed scoring off the bench. Crawford has been traditionally known as a bit of a chucker, but if he can reign it in a little and pick up the defense, he could find himself in the rotation this year and next.
UPDATE: Jason Collins is included in the Crawford trade.

In the last hour, Twitterverse was pretty active with how the trade didn't work in ESPN's Trade Machine with only Barbosa and it looks like they were right. Losing Collins hurts a little. We were already thin in the front court and now we're even thinner without Collins' six fouls. Wilcox has been in Doc's doghouse since coming back from his thumb injury, but he'll have to step up now as KG's and Bass' primary back up. This could force Doc's hand and use Melo from to time to time; Melo played well in the D-League and he really needs to get some reps in the NBA to start feeling comfortable. Last night, he looked like Bambi on the Staples Center floor. Adding Collins also opens up another roster spot for a buy out player and a possible FA pick up.
