Shaun Powell of SportsOnEarth.com is reporting on Kevin Garnett's very specific trade demands.
Told Kevin Garnett will not waive no trade unless Pierce is dealt, and then only to LA. Lives in Malibu.

There's so much in that tweet: 1) if this information is true, then it's possible that Ainge has talked to KG (and Pierce) and gauged their interest in potentially leaving the Celtics, 2) Garnett's loyalty extends from Doc Rivers (who he said was the only coach he'd play for) to Paul Pierce, and 3) there might be some fire to that KG-to-the-Clippers smoke we saw yesterday.
Let's take a look at the first domino: a Pierce trade. Because of his contract, the only teams I can see acquiring The Captain are those on the cusp of contending with Miami and OKC, teams in need of a veteran scorer with young talent that they can sacrifice. Memphis fit that bill, but they addressed their salary cap last week by swapping Rudy Gay for cost-friendly parts from Detroit and Toronto. Now that Paul George has emerged, Indiana might want to get out of the Danny Granger business and throw in Tyler Hansborough for #34. Golden State would have to cobble together something that included Harrison Barnes and some expiring contracts to get PP. There's also the Nuggets and their small forward log jam in Denver. If any of those teams start fading going into the All Star break, you have to think they might dial up Danny before the deadline.
And then there's KG. There's absolutely no way he goes to the Lakers who are absolutely devoid of any young talent. Kupchak has already said that he's not trading any of his Big Four so Dwight is out of the equation. If it's going to happen, it'll be that Clipper deal and I doubt that Danny even picks up the phone if BOTH DeAndre Jordan and Eric Bledsoe aren't part of the deal.
With so many moving parts, I doubt a deal happens, but it's comforting knowing that KG has hitched his wagon to Pierce. Like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, I see these guys jumping off that cliff together into retirement as Celtics.
