NBA Trade Rumor: Kevin Garnett not interested in Denver Nuggets

This could get old pretty quickly.

First, let us start with stating the obvious. Just about any contender would love to have Kevin Garnett. Most non-contenders would love to have him too, if only for the teaching and mentoring of younger players. So it shouldn't shock us if we hear that a lot of teams have called and kicked the tires on Kevin Garnett.

So it should come as no surprise that the Denver Nuggets are one of the teams interested. It is also unsurprising that that interest isn't shared by KG himself.

Kiszla: Nuggets' interest in Celtics' Kevin Garnett not reciprocal - The Denver Post

So what's the problem with pushing the idea of a blockbuster trade between Denver and Boston? Wielding the hammer of a no-trade clause, K.G. wants nothing to do with the Nuggets.

Through his representatives, Garnett has let it be known he has no current interest in the Nuggets.

That would appear to slam the door shut on any further discussion. Except you never know. Things change sometimes. Just like they did back in 2007. (h/t Matt Moore)

Garnett Says "No Thanks Boston" - CelticsBlog

Garnett's agent, Andy Miller, told's Chris Sheridan that Garnett made it known to the Wolves and Celtics late Wednesday that he had no interest in playing for Boston. The implication was clear: If Minnesota dealt him to Boston, Garnett would opt out of his contract next summer.

The situations are drastically different, but it just goes to show you that these things are never as black and white as they are portrayed by some.

I bleed green, I die green, that's what it is, but it is a business though, and when it crossed paths with it, I'll deal with it.

The implication seems clear. He's 100% for sticking with the Celtics. But if the Celtics decide to blow up the roster, then he'll have to deal with that.

And at least until Feb. 21st, we'll have to deal with these rumors.
