So, Boston is 11th. Personally, I think they should be higher (how the hell are the Fakers above them?), but you can't put too much stock into some ESPN guy's rankings. We know where the Celtics sit in the East. We're all just waiting for the playoffs.
Truth is, I am more interested in this:
Look at the ten teams ahead of the Celtics. All with records .500 or above. All playoff teams (I'm counting the Fakers in).
And... the Celtics beat all but two of them. San Antonio beat us twice and Memphis bested us in Bradley's first game back from injury. We have Memphis again in a few weeks (in Memphis), and I'll be in attendance for that game, so the Cs better show up ready to play.
We fans know how well this team can play, and we know they're the best defensive team in the NBA since the return of Bradley. We know on any given night they can beat anyone.
It's ridiculous how much praise the Heat have been getting for their recent winning streak. Cnnsi.com states on their front page that they've "matched a record." Yeah, a "franchise" record, not a NBA record.
No one ever mentions the last team to beat the Heat... THE CELTICS!
