Going off bostons list of players in this years draft theres a strong possibility boston either trade up or down. IMO i fell Boston could make a few strong moves by dealing a few players to pick up either Portlands 39 and 40th pick or clevelands 31st and 33rd pick (which could be dealt earlier if they do decide to trade down in the draft) Assuming we get two here are few players that would address needs and be sturdy rotational players
Option 1- Shane larkin
With his draft combine height i dont see slipping to the second round but if he did would definitely address our backup pg need
Option 2-Peyton Siva
Again, another player that will fill in our backup pg roll,, brings strong leadership and high character could lead second unit.
Option 3-Jackie Carmichael
High character, plays with a chip on his shoulder strong PF in the carlos boozer/paul milsap mold. Theres a few rumors floating around of Boston chasing milsap. IMO Carmichael is a cheaper option and could turn out like him. Hes a strong rebounder, atheltic and good defender. Not great shooting numbers in college but has range from 13-18ft and has good shooting mechanics. If bass is shipped he'd be a perfect replacement
Option 4-Reggie Bullock
I feel he'll go late 1st, but would be a perfect fit in boston, Percet 3 and d player. Reports say Boston could be looking to add scoring off the bench in the likes of Cj miles, martell webster and Kyle Korver, all of which would fit well but Bullock brings the same shooting with better D then them.
Option 5-Glen Rice Jr
Been tearing it up in the D league which shows he can compete with nba endured players (mostly fringe) Brings a solid outside stroke and will spread the floor
Option 6- Deshaun thomas
Will provide nothing but buckets off the bench. Great scoring option off the bench. Tweener in the Ryan Gomes mold which raises the question will danny pull the trigger on a similar project.
Option 7-Nate Wolters
Few comparions to pistol pete. Has great size for a Pg and is a strong ball handler.
Honorable Mentions-Jeff Withey
i do not like the rumours of us taking him at 16. Apart Plumlee, zeller and dieng withey is one of the few real NBA ready centres. Im not a huge fan of taking another project big man so if we do decide to draft big i like the idea of bring withey in late. Instant rotation player due to defence.
