Cousins is the key to Celtics future

As much of a malcontent that Cousins may be, it makes this very talented player available. One would assume that now with clarity surrounding the Sacremento ownership they are ready to move forward. This means changing culture which means moving Cousins for a reasonable package.

Celtics have quite a few players that have value to most rebuilding teams. I would think Sacremento would think long and hard about the following trade scenario:

Cousins and Salmons for Bass, Lee, Bradley and the 16th pick. Sacremento can grab another center at 16. Celtics can also make a seperate deal with Dallas for the 13th pick.

This makes the Celtics an immediate contender and it gives Sacremento a nice young core to rebuild. My hope is that Danny revists trade conversations with Sacramento, especially since it allows us to keep Pierce till retirement and KG can mentor this young man and hopefully get him on the right track. It would be a risk for both teams, but it's a perfect match.
