I had a nightmare

This was my nightmare: it was three days before the upcoming NBA draft and Celtics fans, including myself, were still waiting on tenterhooks. Doc had made no clear decision, Kevin Garnett had made no clear decision and Danny Ainge was revealing nothing of his plans. I woke in the darkness to my alarm clock, rubbed the sleep from my eyes, made a cup of coffee and sat down to Sportscenter as I began to drink myself awake. As the glow of my television grew, my sleepy eyes spotted the pale and floating face of Danny Ainge in an ESPN graphic. I snapped to attention with a faster reaction than any cup of coffee could have ever hoped to produce, and then my mug fell from my weakened hand. No… it couldn’t be… is this even possible? Danny decided to blow it up? And he made a trade with them? KG agreed to this?

I bolted upright and out of my nightmare in a cold sweat, and then found my way quickly in front of a computer screen. I plugged in the names and couldn’t believe my eyes. It was really possible. It could actually happen. If Danny wanted blow it up and get a younger all star badly enough. If the team who shall not be named wanted to cut future costs in hopes of being in a better position to retain their number one star, while still remaining competitive.

please… someone who’s smarter than me, please tell me why this would never happen.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
