Time to call the Clippers bluff and take a look in mirror

The Clippers NEED this trade more than we do, this is a fact that somehow has gotten turned around on us. If they want to keep Chris Paul happy and in a LA uniform, they need a proven coach that has WON. They can play footsy all they want with Hollins and Shaw, telling Danny they are more than happy to go with one of those guys, but if I'm CP does that really make me jump for joy? Absolutely not. I'm still thinking the burden of winning a championship for the Clips rests ENTIRELY on my shoulders. If my idiot pal Dwight can make things happen in HOU, ATL or DAL, I'm high-fiving those coaches on my way out the front door as I put on another uniform.

If this "deal" from the Clips is the best they are willing to do, then I say screw them and let them sweat it. What they are offering is technically "something," but does it really make all that much of a difference in rebuilding the Celts? The picks aren't going to be great and Jordan alone is a 50/50 prospect, could turn into a Mark Blount or worse. If Doc's motives behind his exodus is more based on loyalty to KG and PP than hating the Celts, then why not just bring everybody back? While we certainly won't be frontrunners chasing after the title, we've all seen how health issues seem to consistently hit teams every year (we've had our share), so the door is still open a crack in chasing after a title if things fall our way rather than slammed shut if we go full rebuild. I think the rest of the players on our roster, might be initially tweaked by Doc's perceives motives, but it's also possible that they get over it and realize Doc was probably being more loyal to "his team" (meaning he wants to fight with ALL of them, rather than SOME of them) than most coaches or GMs ever are.

While there's plenty of "blame" to go around for this to mess, I do think that Ainge might need to start looking at his philosophy of "everyone is expendable" if it makes the team better. Loyalty is a two way street, and if I heard my name being dangled in trade talks constantly, then to be honest, why would I want to be part of the Celtics? Somehow Unbuntu has turned into Itradeyou - not a good working philosophy in my opinion if you want to build a team where you're trying to build a winning culture that lasts.
