Rumor: Paul Pierce to Cavs for 2nd round picks #31 & #33

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

With the season over and the league a week away from the draft, expect more scenarios like this.

Sam Amico is reporting--but can not confirm--a rumor that would send The Truth to Cleveland:

According to one report, the Cavs and Boston Celtics are discussing a trade involving the Cavs' two second-round picks (Nos. 31 and 33) for Celtics forward Paul Pierce. FOX Sports Ohio has been unable to confirm that report.

The Milwaukee Bucks have also had conversations with the Celtics about Pierce, sources said.

Because the Cavaliers are under the cap, a trade like that could potentially create a trade exception for Danny to use in a year. As helpful as that would be for a future rebuild (<--I'm beginning to hate that word), it would be a sad ending to The Truth's Hall of Fame career.
