BREAKING NEWS: All-Star Center Available...

... and his name is Kevin Garnett.

How soon we forget that KG was elected to his 15th all-star game in 2013. He averaged 15 pts, 8 rebs per game this regular season. (13 pts, 14 reb, 3.5 ast playoffs)! Not to mention his superior defensive presence.

I keep hearing rumbles that we should roll the dice on unproven free agents centers, i.e. Greg Oden, Steven Adams, Jerome Jordan and others. Are you kidding?!? Which center does the Celtics have any legitimate possibility at signing that can produce what KG did this season? Answer: NONE.

Throughout the course of our title runs, we keep gambling at the center position. Stop it!!!

  • We gambled and lost by trading away Perkins.
  • We gambled and lost by not offering Rasheed a multi-year deal.
  • We gambled and lost BIG with the Shaq experiment.
  • We gambled and lost by having no quality depth behind a injured rookie, Sullinger.

Can we just try consistency for a year or two? We have a good man in the middle. he just needs help from his power forward. Bass won't cut it. Go get a young Beast at PF to go with our current Beast at C.

STOP GAMBLING AT CENTER. Go sign legitimate muscle at PF with David West or Josh Smith, leave KG at C, have Sully backup both positions.
