Brad Stevens sends letters to ex-Celtics

USA TODAY Sports

Smart move by a smart coach.

The Celtics are all about tradition.  One of the first things a coach of the Celtics should do is embrace that tradition.  Check off that box for Coach Stevens.

Head coach Brad Stevens writes letter to all former Boston Celtics, according to Kenny Anderson | masslive.com

Add one more solid move to Stevens' string of them: Kenny Anderson tweeted Tuesday that Stevens sent a letter to all former Celtics, and the lefty point guard seemed to appreciate the gesture.

Sounds wonderful to me.  I know that Robert Parish was looking for work - maybe he'd be open to coming in as a consultant for our bigs (or for Rondo).  Antoine Walker is out there too, ... hmmm, well, maybe not.  Would it be tampering to send a letter to Bird and McHale?

Regardless, this was a nice, classy move by Stevens.  I like it.
