The new-look Boston Celtics will open up their 2013-2014 season on the road against the Toronto Raptors, but the date everyone is looking forward to isn't until Tuesday, December 10th, when the C's will travel to Brooklyn to face Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett for the first time. Interestingly, Doc Rivers returns to Boston the following night, which will make for a memorable back-to-back.
It'll be a very long wait until January 26th, when Pierce and KG return to Boston. The Celtics and Lakers will face off on January 17th and February 21st.
For the first time since the 2007-2008, the C's will not play on Christmas Day. They are scheduled for only three games on ESPN, and one that could possibly be carried on TNT. With the Celtics not living in the limelight anymore, every single game will be carried on Comcast SportsNet New England.
