Ok the C's lost their starting center ( though he was not really a center) when KG was traded away so the position must be filled, so the question is who will be the starting center ?
With Iverson probably playing in Turkey this year, if Ainge does not acquire another center this season (which I doubt) the C's will have 2 centers in Faverani and Melo on the roster to choose to fill the job.
Currently I have no clue who between Melo or Faverani should start as I need to see more of them play at the NBA level to make a determination, so the jury is still out at least in my view.
Now with 2 only legit centers on the roster in Melo and Faverani and the jury still out how serviceable and good they can be, I think and assume Ainge will no doubt try to acquire a higher tier starting center at some point before the season strats or at the least come the trade deadline, which will answer the question and end any speculation on who the starting center will be.
I was hoping maybe Ainge would gamble and sign Greg Oden (who he met and talked with last winter), but with the Heat signing him (you were right gocanes1) , which I hate to say I think is a great move, it probably means Ainge will have to trade for a center using some of the trade assets ( like Bass, Humpries, Wallace,( maybe Bradley ) draft picks etc) in some form of a package.
But thats my opinion and Id like some opinions of others here on Celtic Blog, so have at it.
