That is my wish and prediction. Here's why. The Celts' highest needs are wing scorers and a legit center. I've lost hope that Green is the answer at what he is being paid. But as an old school Celt fan, I see Bradley's combo of defense and improved shooting being well worth keeping at market value.
My many trips in the NBA Trade machines haven't found any reasonable deals to use Green, Bass, etc. to fill those needs at center and wing. (The possible exception is Green for Monroe, but trading for a pending FA is risky.)
Opportunity increases at draft time. Kansas center Embiid appears to be a must pick within the top 3, and he could be the choice of one of 4 teams who already have desirable centers: Utah (Kantner), Milwaukee (Sanders) , Orlando (Vucevic) & Sacremento (Cousins.) Some combination of Green and draft choices could land any of those centers, with the price being higher for Cousins.
The wing should come with the Celts' pick, where there are several possibilities, including getting lucky with either Wiggins or Parker. There is also Smart, whose combo abilities would make a killer guard trio with Rondo and Bradley.
So if I'm Ainge, I'd listen to offers and try to move Bass, but still bide my time for the real opportunities this summer.
