INITIAL TRADE: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=kbaorbd
Celtics Recieve: (Jarret Jack, Earl Clark, Tyler Zeller, 2014 first-round pick)
Celtics Lose: (Jeff Green, Jordan Crawford, Hawks 2014 draft first-round pick)
We all know that Danny Ainge is a very active GM, and has been known to make moves both during and after the season. I thought of a possible trade that I think could end up being very possible, both before the trade deadline, or on draft night. Depending on what path Danny were to choose, this trade could be very interesting. What I mean is, if this trade very to happen today the Celtics would most likely slide even worse in the standings, and could potentially land a really nice lottery pick with there own draft pick. Then you include Cleveland's pick which could range from 12-20 after the trade, but that's pure speculation, and truly anything could happen.
Now path two with this trade would be to wait till draft night. Cleveland is projected to pick #8 on many draft boards and snag Rodney Hood (who in my opinion is gonna be a stud). We could get the draft rights to Hood, and hopefully get another nice player with our own pick. (I'm hoping Tyler Ennis or Willie Cauley-Stein) I don't think Cleveland does this trade unless they get a draft pick in return, so I say we give them Atlanta's, or our own depending on how well we do after Rondo comes back.
I Personally would do the trade now, because I think there is a better chance of Cleveland saying yes. I also think there is a good chance of us getting two really good draft picks from it. I don't know if Cleveland is willing to give up Tyler Zeller, but I only threw him in there because I feel we are giving up to much....but sometimes you gotta gamble, and I think this is one that could really payoff.
What are your thoughts?
