Some more stats for overanalysers.

1. While we lead the league in assists per game, we are 4th in Assist-Turnover Ratio...which shows while we are makign good passes, we are also making disciplined passes. At the same time, our opponent's turnover-ratio i.e Turnovers per 100 possessions are in the bottom quartile.

2. League leaders in FG made,FG attempted and three- pointers attempted only. A big reason of our mediocre performance is , we being last in 3P%.

3. Bottom 2 in FTA rate(Percentage of FGs as FTs), which shows we are not able to draw fouls. Too much outside shooting seems like a big factor in this.

4. We lead the league in FG% from 5-9ft and top quartile in FGs from that range. Again showing, we are soft in taking it to the rim, whit predominantly floters and short jumpers.

5. Middle tier in FGA in at 29 per game. NOP leads with 39. If there is a shift from <5-9 feet> attempts to , we can increase our probability of conversion and drawing fouls. Playing Jared Sullinger more from inside might aid this.

6. Surprisingly, we are in 2nd quartile in FGA from mid range, and a good conversion with 42%, 5th in the league. Contradiction to inside or outside theory of Brad Stevens who thinks mid-range is very inefficient. Philly has least FGAs as Mid range with 30 Pc.

7. Only 13% of our Total FGAs are 3's. We rank 10th in that. Clips lead with 17%, Phily = 15% and 5th. Philly seem to be doing good fundamentally with minimizing midrange and maximizing other two areas.

8. Opponents are shooting mammoth 41% from three against us, second worst in the league. Almost in every region we are defending bad except maybe <15-19 feet> shots where we rank in bottom quartile. In 5-15ft range, we are 5/6th in the league in FG% allowed. Surprisingly, we are not that bad while protecting the rim at 11th. High 3% shows we are giving open threes, which might be due to drive and kick-outs. NEED A GOOD CENTER REALLY URGENTLY WHO CAN SCORE A LITTLE AS WELL.

9. Our offense is really bad from 15-19 feet, where we are 4th in FGA and 19th in FG%. Need to stop these inefficient mid-range jumpers asap.

10. Top quartile in points off turnovers, points from fast-breaks and points in the paint, points off opp turnovers. Clearly, a lot of good things are happening. SECOND in the league in opp points in the paint. NEED A CENTER.

11. We rule the assists section of the league in every metric. A lot of ball-sharing which is heartening to see.

12. Dead last in %points as free throws.

Will post more. As i can see, a lot of metrics are positive for us, and some of them are very negative for us. Bad 3P%, no drawn fouls, no interior defense, etc are some glaring issues. We all know the positives. I could not get into them deeper to see how exactly lineups impact these metrics. Will try some other day for sure.
