Reggie Jackson and Marcus Smart: Backcourt of the Future

I don't like Avery Bradley. There I said it.

He's a loser. Get him outta here.

I also don't think Marcus Smart is our best option at the point guard position. With his big frame and athletic/slashing playstyle, he would be better suited getting looking towards the basket and defending shooting guards.

Enter: Reggie Jackson

I doubt the Thunder will pay him the money that he is looking for, and considering that he wants a starting role (one he is not getting as long as Russell Westbrook is in an OKC uniform), I almost guarantee that he leaves that team. So, I feel this would be an opportunity for the Celtics to capitalize on a player that the Thunder do not want to pay( deja-vu with regards to the James Harden scenario).

Now, I'm not saying that Reggie Jackson is as skilled of a player as James Harden was on the Thunder. As a former 6th man of the year and now a potential MVP candidate, James Harden is a superstar in this league. However, I'm also not saying that Reggie Jackson couldn't be close to that skill level, despite the overflow of talent at the point guard position, as Jackson is the most potent scorer on the Thunder not named Kevin or Russell.

This is just a thought, and ideally this trade goes down either at the deadline or in the off-season with a sign-and-trade, but just the thought of the backcourt of Reggie and Marcus together as a dynamic duo is one that intrigues me and gives me hope for the future.

The James Harden Trade:

OKC trades: James Harden

HOU trades: Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, 2 first round picks( Steven Adams, a DAL top-20 prot. until 2017), and a 2nd round pick

I'm sure the Celtics could get Jackson for less than that.
