I understand the love affair with Rajon Rondo. He's the most exciting Celtic's point guard since Tiny Archibald and probably the best Celtics point guard since Bob Cousy. I love the guy, attitude and all. His competitive fire is awesome. However, we need to look long term while there are teams that need to focus on the now. Rondo can't lead a team to the playoffs on his own (except maybe this year's Eastern Conference). Oklahoma on the other hand has a point guard that needs to be a true number one. Rondo on OKC gives them exactly what they need, a true facilitator. The C's get Westbrook, a genuine 1st option that makes the C's perennial Eastern Conference contenders. OKC would be instant championship favorites for many years to come. And there is no way that Durant would not resign with Rondo as his VP. This trade won't happen. I believe that it should.
It's just a thought.
