I have always wanted Josh Smith and Rondo to play together

With the news coming out that Detroit is looking to shop J-Smoove, my head started to spin. I looked at a few trade ideas, but none of them made sense without a 3rd team involved. I got to thinking about what positions were needed to fill in, and what teams had players in said positions being shopped.

Here is what I came up with:

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=mv9hyee

Bos gets Smith, Varejao

Det gets Green, Waiters, Bogans (expiring)

Cavs get Bass, Stuckey (maybe picks to sweeten the deal i.e. clippers 1st)

Why?

Boston gets Much better defensively (Rondo AB Smith = no one scored on us) and some much needed center help.

Det is looking to move Smith as is, This saves them almost 8 mil next year so they can resign Monroe. They would have Jennings, Waiters, Green, and Drummond all on 3 year deals. Resign Monroe and there is your team.

Cleveland SHOULD be looking to move waiters as he and Kyrie do not get along. Irving, Stuckey, Deng, Bass, Zeller is good moving forward especially with guys like Thompson and Bennet coming off the bench. Throw in that Clippers pick to make them bite. Deng and Stuckey are also on expiring deals that free up some cap space in the offseason.

What do you guys think?
