I have always advocated that trades and moves for established players to fit alongside our core of Rondo, Sully, green and KO. I still think its the best, and most likely way to get into contention. However, lets assume that no moves are made after the draft order is set. Danny just cant find takers for any deals and worries that Rondo is not happy. Would you entertain these deals if this scenario was true? (also assume players will be moved/dropped to make salary work)
Deal 1. Rondo/Fav and the 17th pick to Utah for Burk, Gobert and the Jazz #1 pick
Deal 2 Rondo/ Fav and our number 1 (only if outside the top 5) for Burke, Burks, Gobert
Deal 3 Rondo for Thomas, McLemore, and their #1 pick this year
Deal 1: Utah not using Gobert because Kanter/Favors doing well. We add our defensive center and a PG with upside. We add 2 picks ...hopefully Parker, Hairston and/or Hood.
Deal 2: Burks is a great up and coming SG which is better than or equal to anyone outside the top 5. Still get big man and PG. 17th pick could get a Saric, Stauskas, etc.
Deal 3 revisit: Allows us to at least get one of the top wings plus assures us of getting Justus (big man) and the additional 17th pick to nab a flyer like Saric or Anderson.
Deal 4: Just draft our guys and play out the next season (no trades)... take the chance rondo walks or later trade to make him happy. if you want deal 4, then at least choose one of the others "if you had to do it"
