The Celtics first priority is to land a franchise altering player in this draft. It seems that Wiggins, Parker and Embiid have that potential.
The Celtics second priority is to make a franchise altering trade with their lottery pick. I think the ideal targets would include Afflalo, Gasol, Love or Carmelo.
Barring either of these first two priorities, the Celtics may find themselves in a situation where they drop to that 4-8 range and aren't high on any of the remaining players on the board.
I believe that one possibility would be to facilitate a trade with Pheonix to move down in the draft. Pheonix is also looking for a franchise altering move and may be keen to move up in the draft to get a player that they want. One such player may be Aaron Gordon. I think he would fit excellently into their fast-break offense and I could see the defensive potential in having him and Bledoe on the same team.
So if a deal could be made, would you trade a 6th overall pick for two picks, currently projected to be 14 and 18?
With the 14th, 17th and 18th pick the Celtics would be able to take some chances on guys like Hood, Stauskas, LaVine, Anderson, Young ... even DraftXpress has Gary Harris falling to 15th.
