Getting creative, staying realistic

Thinking about the quote from Danny about "Laying the groundwork for some possible moves this offseason" in his interview with the Toucher and Rich. I think we all hope that the firework that the Celtics organization has been talking about is a for a superstar like Kevin Love. But, what about an incremental move that makes us better going into the 2015 free agent market?

I like Sully and Kelly but what if they really need to be split up and each paired with a rim protector? I would entertain the following trade:

1. S&T Gordon Hayward for a reasonable 4yr $40M for Gerald Wallace, Jared Sullinger and the 2014 BKN 1st.

2. Trade Brandon Bass, 2014/5 Philly 1st and 2015 Clippers 1st for Omer Asik

3. Keep our 2014 1st pick and hopefully its Aaron Gordon worst case scenario

4. Sign Bradley on an injury-prone discount for a $22M 4yr deal

5. Maybe sign Hump to a 2 year $12M deal, maybe sign Bayless to a 4 year 16M deal

Proceed in 2014 with a core 7 of:

Rondo (12) , Bradley(5), Hayward (10), Green (9), Gordon (3), Olynyk (2), Asik (8)

Celtics would still have their own picks, BKN 2016 and BKN 2018
