The Celtics started off hot, built a lead, and (in a change of script) kept right on building that lead. Quarter after quarter they kept pushing the lead up higher. That is until the 4th quarter, but by that time they had built up such a large lead, that it didn't really matter.
Boston certainly had a good game, but it helped a lot that Cleveland recently got eliminated from the playoffs and played like a team that had simply given up - in particular once the lead ballooned.
Kelly Olynyk led the charge, scoring in bunches from all over the court. Not unlike the performances he had in Summer League that got everyone excited last year. At one point he even hit a one-legged step back jumper. Yup, the Dirk wanna-be hit the Dirk shot.
Another great game for Pressey filling in for Rondo. Once again, he put up a very Rondo-like stat line with 9 points, 13 assists, and 5 rebounds with just 2 turnovers. Nice game rook (again).
Avery Bradley was 5-6 from 3 point land and finished with 25 points.
Bass and Green each pitched in 19.
The Cavs? Well, for most of the night they were just poo poo. The end.
And now the talk will invariably turn to our draft position and tanking and blah blah blah. I'm so done with this season.
