Jerryd Bayless steps up

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

In response to a leaked recording of Clippers' owner Donald Sterling getting angry with his girlfriend for posting a photo with him on her Instagram account, Celtics free agent point guard took to Twitter with his thoughts on the developing situation.

In Bayless' words:

Many Celtics bloggers have praised Bayless for his public comments and let me do the same.  I wanted the team to bring him back next season for his play and more so now for his character.

You can read and follow Jerryd here or check out his blog and for more, check out Tom Ziller's editorial on the situation.  The Clippers apparently had a meeting last night to discuss the situation and it'll be interesting to see how the team and the NBA will respond.  As noted, Chris Paul is the president of the NBPA and teammate Willie Green is on the executive committee.  The Clippers play the Warriors tomorrow afternoon in Game 4 of their first round match-up.
