Garnett trade to Boston not as one sided as media makes it out to be.

Everyone seems to think the Celtics stole Garnett but the Celtics gave up a lot to Minnesota but Minnesota has not managed their assets well.

Minnesota got

1. Al Jefferson - if they still had Al they would be a very good team with him and Love in the Front Court

2. Gerald Green has become a good Role player for Phoenix

3. Pekovic was acquired with one of the picks Minnesota got from Boston.

6 years later these players are worth more than Garnett is now.

It was a great trade for Boston. Garnett was no longer at his peak but he was still the key player on the Celtics championship team.

Love is not the player that Garnett was although he is entering his prime. However, Garnett was injury free up to the trade and Love has already had injuries. So if the Celtics trade Sullinger in a trade for Love what else would they realistically give up. They only gave up late round picks in the Garnett trade.a
