Is Kevin Love the solution?

As you have probably seen, Kevin Love was recently in Boston, and even met Rondo at a Sox game. This has made many fans ecstatic about the Celtics' future, but I want to throw out the possibility that maybe Love is not the solution. He hasn't ever been in the playoffs, which is partially due to having poorly equipped teams, but also partially a byproduct of his defensive failures. His 26 pt/13 rbds statline is incredible at first glance, but the Minnesota offense runs largely through him, so perhaps the stats are a bit more padded than they should be. I'm not saying he isn't great– he is. But we would probably have to give up many of our first round picks and some good young talent to get him, and that may not be worth it. It would mean postponing the rebuilding process while we actually have a good framework with some good talent. It would mean giving up on Sullinger as our future starter, and probably Olynyk too, and it would probably mean postponing the process of getting a quality center. We want to create the best team possible, and on the long run I'm not sure that love is the way to go. I would really like to hear what you all think about this.
