Chicago: Risky option for Carmelo/Lebron

There has been a lot of talk about Carmelo or Lebron being interested in signing with Chicago. While there is a lot to like about Chicago (Tom Thibodeau, Joakim Noah, etc.), the idea that Derrick Rose would be a member of a new big three there is naive. Derrick Rose has played a total of 49 games over the past three seasons. Who knows how he will play when he comes back? Who knows how long he will stay healthy? I like Derrick Rose and enjoyed watching him in his prime, but I fear that he is the next Danny Granger or Amare Stoudemire (a player that could've been so much better if it weren't for knee injuries).

Even when Derrick Rose was healthy, his style of play did not indicate a long career. His reckless abandon driving to the hole made him exciting to watch, but also put his long term career and health at risk. Any free agent looking at Chicago should do so knowing that the team may never have the Derrick Rose that we all enjoyed watching in his MVP season.
