Projected Lottery Picks' Shot Charts

http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-nba-draft-illustrated-shot-charts-for-the-lottery-picks/

I thought this article could give some valuable insights into the projected lottery picks in today's draft. It A few observations:

-McDermott's chart is pretty dang impressive. He is efficient from everywhere and is much better around the basket than I would've thought. Still, I think #6 is too high for him.

-Gordon's chart is a bit discouraging. He is sufficient in the lane, but he seems to take a lot of midrange jumpers and is inefficient on those. But it does look like he has 3-point range, at least on the right side of the court.

-Smart is a beast in the paint, 65% in the paint is very very good for a guard. However he obviously needs to work on his shot selection and takes too many 3-pointers now.

-Stauskas is lights out from 3, and doesn't shoot a lot of midrange shots, which is a good thing. The advanced stats era that we are in has told us midrange shots are the least efficient in the game. As with McDermott, #6 is too high for Stauskas. He would be a great fit if the Cs were to trade down for him.
