Who Says No # 2

In writing my post about possible Center targets recently I came across some players that caused me to pause and say "hmm, wouldn't that be an interesting trade". So my premise here is not taking into account the "fit" of the player for what the Celtics currently have (essentially in asset collection mode) and only taking into account whether it improves the current assets on the team, would you say no to this deal?

Without further ado, let's play some who says no!

Anderson Varejao

Celtics trade:

Jeff Green

Vitor Faverani

Cavs trade:

Anderson Varejao

Why the Celtics do it:

They need a center.

Why the Cavs do it:

They probably aren't getting Carmello Anthony or Lebron James. Luol Deng is most certainly leaving. Jeff Green is a definate upgrade over playing the mascot at SF.

Why the Celtics don't do it:

Varejao is likely a 1 year rental, who is probably a bit overpaid given his injury history.

Why the Cavs don't do it:

This solves their SF problem (Jeff Green detractors will say, sorta solves)... and creates a PF/C problem. Resigning Hawes would immediately become required. They have to also really believe in Bennett to do this.

...who says no?
