Why didn't other teams make the trade?

The Boston Globe's Gary Washburn didn't exactly share ground breaking news when he tweeted about the Celtics plans for their newly acquired pieces, but it is nice to have light shed on even a small part of the team's situation, at a time where transparency is nearly nonexistent.

I think this is what most fans imagined when they saw the Celtics bring in an undeveloped 7 footer (Zeller) and an unwarranted $8.5 million contract (Thornton), so it seems safe to say that the fans in Boston are pleased with the future plans.

However, what could be concerning is news from Zach Lowe, about how the Cavaliers reportedly tried to offer this package to every team in the league, specifically the Orlando Magic (a team that has been doling out extra money to players, seemingly just to fill the cap minimum. Why is it that other teams, Magic included, didn't jump on this deal?
