Jameer Nelson out 4 to 6 weeks with "a knee"

"The All-Star will have arthroscopic surgery Wednesday on torn cartilage in his left knee, the team said. He is expected to miss four to six weeks.

Nelson was injured in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s win against Charlotte. But he finished the game on the court and showed no signs of injury."

While never rooting for injuries, it is a little helpful that the Magic will be without their PG as the Celtics are a bit uneven in their performance lately, giving the Cs a little room in the race for playoff positioning.

Stephen Jackson traded to Charlotte

Details of the trade are Jackson and PG Acie Law to the Bobcats for Raja Bell and Vlad Radmanovic. I guess the Bobcats will go with Jackson being their de facto power forward but I think this is a steal for the Bobcats except they now become very small. I also say look for a huge spike in Jackson's numbers as his effort on the defensive and rebounding end have been, lax, for lack of a stronger word.

Two tidbits I found interesting is that it looks like both sides are going to give this one last shot on Sunday and that for the first time I saw the numbers being bandied about. Rondo wants 5-year/$55-60 million and Danny is offering 5-year/$45 million. Can't see how this can't be settled at the 5-year/$53-55 million area. That's really not too much for what Rondo brings to the table.
