On the heels of tonight's Rondo/Howard rumor, the big news from Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski has Boston and the other L.A. team talking about another blockbuster.

And now the denials come.

Mark Murphy talked to a source that confirmed the Dwight Howard/Rajon Rondo rumor, but indicated that it is old news and no longer valid.

So, with the caveat that this is rumor season, and I strongly advise you to believe nothing that you hear - I have to pass this rumor along. In particular because it comes from the typically reliable Ken Berger.

If KG retires and Paul Pierce is waived, could the Celtics sign a "max" free agent?
