I Stand Corrected...

In my Fake Gilbert Arenas Post yesterday I wrote the following,

Today I received an e-mail that kindly pointed out how mistaken I was:
To the point, without openly calling me a moron, which was warranted in this case. Although I liked the subtlety of "Just like any other blog." Well played. Regardless I was wrong. As you can see the "What happened to My Kobe Haircut" is an anecdote inside the The Perception of a Point Guard post. This is a testament to how entertaining Arenas actually is, as I would run a piece like that alone for a week. It is also a lesson in the pitfalls of ill-informed sarcasm. And in a very small way it reflects a bigger problem the NBA has. How often do people say some variation of, "The NBA awful to watch" or "The league is full of thugs"? Meanwhile, the list of strong teams, entertaining games and good guys is staggering. It's crazy to think that someday I'll tell people about Chris Paul, LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Carmelo Anthony (hopefully), Dirk Nowitzki, Manu Ginobili and Dwyane Wade the same way people told me about Jordan, Bird, Magic, Isiah, Dominique, Bernard King, Moses Malone, Kareem and so on. It's a great time to be a fan of the NBA. As a side note do you like how this post morphed from an "I'm an idiot" piece to a NBA puff piece?
