10 year old Celtics fan has a parting shot for Ray Allen.
"That’s my first priority, just going into surgery sometime," Allen said. "If I could do it tomorrow, I would do it tomorrow. That’s probably my main concern right now, taking care of that." - He wasn't kidding. Good to see it's getting taken care of immediately.
It would appear Ray Allen's ankle is still swollen, Doc being as surprised as we are at this point. Somehow, you could still call this expected, with the way the Celtics organization handles injury news. "The bad news" is that Mickael Pietrus is out as well, and has been sent back to Boston with a swollen knee.
The NBA Playoffs is one of the most exciting events in sports. However, this year has been off the charts so far with so many games being decided in the final minutes. In Game 1 of the first round playoff series between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks, the Celtics came back from a huge deficit, with Ray Allen hit a game-winning 3-pointer with 11.6 seconds remaining, lifting the Boston Celtics to a dramatic 87-85 victory. Here is what that play would’ve looked like had it taken place in NBA 2K11. The call is by TNT’s Marv Albert and Steve Kerr.
Whats up Celtics fans? Remember me? I'm a writer/illustrator over at Bright Side of the Sun and am currently doing a project where I am doing 30 illustrations (1 player from each of the 30 NBA teams) over 30 days. Day 5 features your own Ray Allen (or maybe his mom with a shaved head...still not sure) and I thought I'd share it with you. Feel free to visit and check out this and more as well as follow the project. Comments are welcome and appreciated. -Dustin
Celtics Big 3 Reminisce Over 2010 Finals, Free Agency
The Lakers lack the cohesion of a team that the Celtics have - from running their offense, to getting amazing defensive plays, the Celtics have continually hurt the Lakers with the intagibles: heart and desire (Eye of the Tiger). Winning 2 in a row generally spells doom for the other team, but can the Celtics put it together to get a win at Staples?
The biggest issue I see is passion and desire. The Celtics have a lot more of it than the Lakers - and with the refs keeping everybody off balance, those intamgibles will be crucial. Bynum may not play and will certainly not be at full strength if he does, so the Lakers will need a supreme effort 1-12 to steal Game 5 from Boston. They key to this series rests on who is going to be tougher, who is going to get down and dirty, and who's willing to do whatever it takes to win. For even more basketball, visit us at: BBALLBREAKDOWN.COM
