Allen had his best scoring game as a Celtic, dropping 26 points on Orlando. Anyone else getting excited about this kid? I have to admit, when we drafted him, I was speachless in a bad way. I had not heard much buzz about him and I never caught much of the Oklahoma State run through March Madness. So this is all gravy to me. I still wonder where he'll crack the rotation when he's competing with Pierce, Davis, and Welsch. But players play, and if he's really as good as he's showing this summer, these things have a way of working themselves out.
"Despite the Celtics falling to 2-3, first round pick Tony Allen scored from every angle on Saturday afternoon, thus earning the Star of the Game honor. He poured in a game-high 25 points, including several rim-rocking, highlight-reel slam dunks."
