Herald.com - Banks unfazed by coach's concerns
This seems to be a trend with Marcus. I'm not sure if it is Rivers raising the bar for him because he sees great talent, or he really thinks that Marcus is a waste of talent and he is sick of seeing it. One way or the other, I don't think the Celtics are going to have a ton of patience with him if this keeps up. Which is a shame since we can afford to have patience with Gary starting and Delonte capable of backing up. I have to wonder if there is a personality issue with Banks as well. We've heard from everywhere that the kid is confident to the point of cocky. Now Doc says he's getting down on himself and Marcus denies that. So what's really going on? This will be something to watch as it progresses this preseason.
Boston.com - For Jefferson, it's not easy being green
In cheerier news, Al Jefferson is still playing Will Robinson (Lost in Space), but he's also being a teacher's pet (asking a question a minute). It sounds like the kid will get some more PT in the next game, and why not? Let 'em play while the games don't count. However, he'll have to learn that defense before he can contribute. Thankfully it sounds like he and Doc have a great teacher-student relationship so far. Perhaps Banks could learn something from Al.
