The Suns strengthened their bench Tuesday by acquiring veteran forward Walter McCarty from the Boston Celtics for one of the two second-round draft picks they acquired from Golden State in the Zarko Cabarkapa trade - a conditional 2005 second-round pick that becomes unconditional in 2007, and an unconditional 2009 second-round pick.
Don't know what the conditions are, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. Boils down to a second rounder.
This opens up a roster spot. I think we'll keep the flexibility for now and if we don't make a trade by the deadline, we'd probably pick up a player off waivers to have for depth.
