Rondo Out

Marc Spears reports:

Celtics guard Rajon Rondo will not play in tonight's game against the host Los Angeles Lakers due to tight right hamstring. Although Rondo suffered the injury during the first quarter of last night's game against Utah, when he woke up this morning the injury stiffened.

Rondo said he felt good after working out before the game, but coach Doc Rivers planned to sit him out anyway. Celtics guard Tony Allen will start in place of Rondo and rookie guard Gabe Pruitt will be activated.
