NBA Jam Chronicles: Remember them?

Guys in NBA Jam that you probably forgot about

Wayman Tisdale - How would you describe Wayman Tisdale's college career? Storied. He also won a gold medal on Bobby Knight's squad, was the second overall pick in the 1985 draft and averaged 15 points and 6 rebounds during his career.  And yet guys drafted after him - Chris Mullin, Detlef Schrempf, Charles Oakley, Karl Malone, A.C. Green, Terry Porter, Manute Bol, Hot Rod Williams, Arvydas Sabonis, Mario Elie and Spud Webb are more famous because of Hall of Fame careers, continued involvement in the NBA, massive head size, nicknames, abstinence and height or lack thereof.

Stacey Augmon - He's easy to overlook because of his college teammates - Greg Anthony and Larry Johnson. But the Plastic Man could play. In fact last time I checked he had not officially retired. Technically outside of the Scottie Pippen and Reggie Miller rumors, Augmon has the best chance to join Dikembe Mutombo and Alonzo Mourning as the only active NBA Jam players last season.  However, it was a slim chance.
