I can't get over the feeling that Danny Ainge was incredibly lucky to land Kevin Garnett. But does it really matter? In the end Ainge made good on his plan to gather young players and trade them for veterans to team with Paul Pierce. And that is what is important. Obviously question marks remain. Will Ray Allen, Pierce and Garnett stay healthy and continue to play at a high level? Will they mesh on the court? Who is the alpha dog of that trio? (I say Pierce.) Will they get enough help? And on and on. I don't know how Ainge did it. But he did. And after all the abuse and second guessing he should feel pretty good about himself. He remade the team, energized the fans and made the C's the talk of the league. Giddy up.
