I wrote the following about Wayman Tisdale a while back in my month long look at NBA Jam:
"How would you describe Wayman Tisdale's college career? Storied. He also won a gold medal on Bobby Knight's squad, was the second overall pick in the 1985 draft and averaged 15 points and 6 rebounds during his career. And yet guys drafted after him - Chris Mullin, Detlef Schrempf, Charles Oakley, Karl Malone, A.C. Green, Terry Porter, Manute Bol, Hot Rod Williams, Arvydas Sabonis, Mario Elie and Spud Webb are more famous because of Hall of Fame careers, continued involvement in the NBA, massive head size, nicknames, abstinence and height or lack thereof."
And now this card brings up three points.
- Who was responsible for the baby blue Sacramento Kings uniforms?
- That's a lot of spandex. I know people talk about the short shorts all the time. And yet it never gets old.
- Respect the old school high tops and knee brace.
