Chris Sheridan of ESPN is reporting that Damon Stoudamire is close to a buy out situation in Memphis that could result in him joining the Boston Celtics. I'm not exactly enthused. I can accept the fact that his assists per game dropped steadily as his minutes per game dropped throughout his career. But his shooting percentage has slowly decreased as well. I don't know what to say. I never watched him in Toronto, Portland or Memphis and thought, "Man the Celtics need to get that guy." At the same time he's better than the free agents out there and younger than Sam Cassell. Also he could perhaps weaken the Pistons by getting Sheed in some trouble. I'm just saying.
