As reported by ESPN:

Nets president Rod Thorn, meanwhile, sent word to reporters in New Jersey through a team official that the Kidd-to-Dallas deal "appears to be a go" at last.

The deal reportedly has Kidd, forward Malik Allen and guard Antoine Wright going to Dallas for point guard Devin Harris, center DeSagana Diop and swingman Maurice Ager, plus retired forward Keith Van Horn and Trenton Hassell. New Jersey also will get two first-round draft picks and $3 million.

As was discussed in this space last week, the Mavs agreed to part with their sole interior defensive presence in DeSagana Diop the first time around on this deal.  Thanks to Devean George, they received a mulligan.

They thought it over and then decided to go ahead and make the move anyway but still don't seem to have a plan regarding that interior.

The Dallas Mavericks will have an upgrade at the point.  But they could be in big trouble inside.
