Somehow the Celtics were ahead in just about every statistical category in the first half and still managed only a one point lead. You could take that as a good sign (that would eventually be reflected in the score) or a bad sign (that would swing the game to the Pistons in the 2nd half). We'll see.
Pierce and Garnett just took turns stepping up and the defense was superb as usual. Perkins chipped in with a big 10 rebounds and Rondo added 7 assists and two big jumpers in the closing minutes.
Great win over a quality opponent.
