I love it when Chad Ford breaks down NEXT year's free agent class. The list includes guys with early termination clauses like Kobe and Boozer (and Mark Blount, ...right). Then there are restricted free agents like Andrew Bynum, and finally true free agents with some pretty big names. Shawn Marion, Allen Iverson, Ron Artest, Lamar Odom, Jason Kidd, etc.
As a bonus, he always breaks down which teams will have cap room, which is always fun. Of course a lot can happen between now and then, but it is interesting to see who will be next year's 76ers.
Given current projections, five teams -- the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Portland Trail Blazers, the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers -- will have significant money to spend in 2009.
What does this have to do with the Celtics? Aside from playing spoiler to the Blazers cap hopes, probably not a whole lot. But like I said, a lot can change in a year and it always helps to keep an eye on how the market is moving.
