Practice is still wrapping up in Waltham (Jimmy Toscano will have an extended practice report later on today), but we have an update on Jermaine O'Neal, who has sat out the last two and a half games with an aching left knee.

From Chris Forsberg's Twitter:

Doc suggests 2-3 week window on JO absence. Says team won't seek help outside organization unless it develops into a longer absence.

What's still unclear is what the issue actually is. O'Neal said that he recently had a "minor procedure" on the knee, but did not elaborate on why the procedure was needed in the first place. As for the cause of his current absence, is it related to that procedure at all? Now that it's clear he's going to have to miss time in order  to get better, hopefully Doc Rivers, Danny Ainge, or O'Neal himself will elaborate on what the injury really is.
