Don't expect last night's 15-point, eight-turnover effort against the Hornets to dampen Paul Pierce's spirits regarding the upcoming All-Star weekend, in which he's slated to participate in the three-point shootout Saturday night and the annual showcase on Sunday night.
Via the Herald:
"It's definitely sore, not 100 percent, but hopefully over this weekend it can get better for the rest of the season," he said.
"I plan on playing in the All-Star Game," he said earlier in the day. "I don't see a lot of wear and tear in participating in the weekend activities. I'll probably play about 10 or 12 minutes in the game. I don't see the 3-point contest as something that's really going to hinder me."
Hopefully Pierce is right about his wear and tear theory.
